A friend told me about the eagle and nest near our house. Found it and visited it a couple times. This morning, after about an hour's wait, at about 7am, I saw an adult eagle on a branch next to the nest. The picture above is a normal view of the nest -- which is in a tree with the back line of pine trees. Taken with 35-70 AF zoom at 48mm.
The image below was taken with a Tokina 300mm MF F/2.8 lens with Tamron 2x teleconverter. Wide open, 1/1000 sec., ISO-800, spot metered on the bird, aperture priority. Adjusted in Photoshop Elements 4.
