Beans along the way...

Saw this field along the way to see Mom. Bonnybrook Road is the place. Had the color set to Vivid +3 as Ken Rockwell likes. Makes the colors pop. Nikon D300, Nikon 35-70 AF F/2.8 lens, @35mm, F/9 @ 1/320 sec. Levels and a bit of Shadow/Highlights in PSE 4. I like the colors, the curvy edge of the beans (?), and the sky.

Egret near Myrtle Beach

Spent a long weekend in Myrtle Beach. On the way from the airport I stopped at a bridge where there were a large number of Egrets (Heron) feeding. Here one, backlit. Used my Nikon 80-400 AF VR on all these shots.

The bird stretched his wings and went fishin'!

I was pleased with the D300's speed in capturing the quick darts of fishing, even with the slower lens -- not an AF-S. Used ISO-400, Program mode, Matrix meetering.
