Spent a long weekend in Myrtle Beach. On the way from the airport I stopped at a bridge where there were a large number of Egrets (Heron) feeding. Here one, backlit. Used my Nikon 80-400 AF VR on all these shots.The bird stretched his wings and went fishin'!
I was pleased with the D300's speed in capturing the quick darts of fishing, even with the slower lens -- not an AF-S. Used ISO-400, Program mode, Matrix meetering.
