I took these shots of George and the Indian thinking that I'd make a PhotoSynth (and I still may), but I thought of making a stop-motion video using Microsoft Movie Maker, transitions 0.25 -- as low as it goes, and image duration 0.125 sec. No audio. 32 images using my D300 and Tokina 12-24mm f/4 lens, center-weighted metering.

Panorama of Hike to Los Cernos

This shot, taken hand-held with my D300, is comprised of about 7 shots. I shot them starting on the right and overlapping about 1/4 to 1/3.
In Photoshop Elements 6, I used the Photomerge (File > New > choose), browsed and chose the files, and let my computer and PSE6 crunch the images. It creates the panorama using layers. I had to crop the resultant image to get the picture above, and I cloned some of the edges to fill in a bit.
Be sure to click on the image hyperlink to see the full size. I saved the PSD file with all its layers, but here you see the lower compression jpeg, Low (#3) from the jpeg dialogue box.
How do you like the result?
