Ascending to Breakneck Bridge
I had found Breakneck Falls and was preparing to photograph the falls when a father and son appeared on the bridge. The son was rappelling down from the side of the bridge and then ascending also using ropes and knots. The father asked me to take some shots -- which I did. These two shots were of the ascent, taken from a distance using my D300 and my Nikkor AF-S VR lens. The climber was brightly back lit, thus silhouetted. So, in Photoshop Elements 6, I adjusted the exposure using Levels, but then applied the "Paint Daubs" filter in the first image.
