Double Exposure - Blue Moon

This image in contrast to my last post, was taken later in the evening. That's NOT the reason for the blue cast. When I shot the double exposure in the last posting, the moon was in a fairly light sky -- thus it did not overwhelm the island view on which I placed it.

In this picture, later at night, I photographed the moon in a much darker, blue night -- thus overlaying it gave me this blue-appearing image.

I like both pictures generally. I learned about using the D300 for double exposures.

Double Exposure

The moon was out near dusk; phase as seen above. Shot this as a double exposure, RAW, in my Nikon D300. It does all the thinking on its own, and other than my shot of the moon with too long a focal length, I think that it did OK.

Murals in Philly

Last May, I spent a weekend in Philly and photographed an event associated with SRU. http://fredjennyphotography.com/philly09 has more pics. Check them out. Of note are some of the murals created by some local artists. (I need to touch base with them.)
