Nikon announced a new 85mm AF-S DX F/3.5 Macro lens. I don't need it as I have the Nikon 105mm F/2.8 macro lens, which is full-frame and has a longer working distance. Who knows? Perhaps I'll have a full-frame camera someday, and I'll have to replace my DX lenses. (Hmm, how many is that? A Tokina 12-24 F/4 DX, Nikon 18-70 F/3.5-4.5 DX, and a new Nikon 35mm F/1.8 DX. I think that's it. My best lenses are Nikon FX, full-frame: 70-200, 80-400, 28-70, 70-300, and a number of prime lenses.)
Speaking of full-frame, Nikon also announced the new Nikon D3s. At $5100, it's too rich for my blood. Don't need it for what I do. My Nikon D300 is still plenty of camera for me. The new Nikon D300s does not attempt me either. Its video capabilities still need to be improved before it temps me.
